LED Polarity

Post by Knytemare »

So today I had some lapse of memory and couldnt remember which side of the LED was positive and which was negative and both leads were of equal length. So I did some searching and found some great info and thought I would post it here for others to share.

That's good to know if the legs are the same length. Thanks for the post !

A multimeter with a 'diode check' function is usually useful here. The led will light dimly, but still visibly.

I use the mnemonic device: "Since a negative person has a short temper, then negative lead is short". :D
