Anyone know about these photoetch tools?

Got a question about techniques, materials or other aspects of physically building a model? This is the place to ask.

Anyone know about these photoetch tools?

I saw these on ebay after losing an auction for the more expensive Mission Models bending tool. Does anyone have any experience with these or any informed opinion based on the product descriptions? Thanks.

If the description of the smaller unit is correct,i.e. that they match machine the head to the platen and that the head is titanium, then it should be a superior product. However, the head doesn't "look" titanium (acknowledging that photos can change the look of anyting), so I don't know if I'd totally believe it. Still, for $30, it would be a reasonable chance to take.

If you are interested in a PE tool like this, go with something known, like Etchmate. I don't EBay, but a quick look garnered this:

Etchmate is a good, quality tool that will do the job, and last a long time.

Thanks. I bought the American-made one. I'll see how it does. I've bid on Etch Mates before. They run into the high 40s before postage even if you win. This cost $33 w/ postage. I'll take my chances and report back.
