EL Wire Question

Post by Thomas E. Johnson »

Does this stuff throw out a halo of light that will light up an enclosed area, or is its light glow confined to the wire itself and not do much illumination?

The best way I can describe the light output of lightsheet, lightwire, etc. is the equivelant colored glow from a computer screen

He's saying in a pitch black room your eye will notcie it, it will not be detected by a digital camera, unless it has very good low light ratings.

You're best bet is the fluorscent micro tubes. They still use an inverter but they will light an area well. (this is the same type of tube used in a scanner, very thin).
