will gooey plastic cure?

When I install the bridge to the sauce on the TOS Enterprise, I find that I have to lay down the glue while the bridge is sitting atop the B/C deck and then clamp to ensure there's no seam. Problem is; doing it that way makes the molten plastic seep from the seam in small beads.

I waited a day before I trimmed the excess off but it was still gooey and I found it difficult to get a clean surface.

Will the "goo" eventually cure?

What type of glue you using?

Short answer, more than likely yes. Some glues need some air(open space, non-glue enviroment?) to help cure, trimming the bubbles off lets them gas out faster.

I use the testors liquid stuff or tenax in the glass bottle for those kinds of assembly steps. That way, I ensure a seamless joint.
