Voltage regulator identification

Post by MillenniumFalsehood »

Okay, I found some old voltage regulators in a drawer and was wondering if someone could give me specifications based on the info on the casing:

Tx
C1173
O 5:D

I just need to know the outputs and I can't find a decent reference to them on the net.

If a redhead works at a bakery, does that make him a gingerbread man?

Got it.

Are you sure it's a voltage regulator? The cross reference that I've got lists that as a bog-standard transistor...

As Mr. Calhoun says, that printing is consistent with a 2SC1173, which is a common transistor.

Okay, then. I had assumed they were voltage regulators due to the large heat-sink on the top.

Easy mistake to make. Older transistors had to deal with a lot of current and heat build-up. triacs, SCR's, transistors, even audio amps look similar.
