Modelnutz' build

The challenge: build any kind of hover tank without using a tank kit's hull or turret - because nothing saus 'fun' like 70 tons of floating mayhem.

Modelnutz' build

Post by Dr. Yo »

Ed asked me if I'd post his build pics-and here you go:

HT-1

HT-3

and on the subject of the builds themselves, he said
The attached pics are the major components of my hover tank ( you could say that they've recently arrived at the factory where they will be assembled into the working prototype )

At the back you'll see the main weapon...a charged particle gun....works on a compressed ion charge...light compression for crowd suppression ( think...real big stun gun...sorta a mega-taser....heavy compression makes for a much harder punch...good for most any vehicle they may run across )
In front of the main gun...on the left is the APU...Advanced Power Unit...supplies all the juice needed for all on-board systems.
Next is the "brains" of the unit....satellite up-link and targeting computer
and last...but not least.....the C/BT unit....supplies levitation....if you look closely...you might even see the cat with the toast on it's back...floating effortlessly inside the protective sphere.
I expect he'll be along directly to flesh out the description.

Ed, if you'd like me to change the topic title, or perform any other
edits, just lemme know.

Must be nice to have the time to build...

Why, thank you sir ! High praise, indeed :D
Took me quite a while before that idea materialized.

Slacker! You should have cast it in a sphere of clear resin. :ptl:
