The one that I bought yesterday cost $39.99 + tax.
3 small canisters , filled to brim with diff. cutting discs
and a canister of polishing compound were amoung the parts.

It could have a better closure system than the plastic snappy things,
but I can't very well complain about the cost.

That was quick! :D Michael, or Mr. Raven as he has been referred to by some folks here, dropped his car off at the Costco Tire center for a patch job today. The little 'off' brand one that my father-in-law handed down to me is really useful.
It has a bit of a nasty wobble, and just can't cut, polish or drill rock...
so at some time, in a more fianancialy secure future, a Fordom or Dremal shall be mine!

No mold, sir. It is intended to be the protective coating on coasters.
These are polymer clay, incised, painted, inlayed with other things (but not feathers).

This seems to be a much higher quality product than reg. embossing powder.
I didn't know of it's existence, at all.
Thank you , Frank. This seem to be a very good possibility, as well!

Coolness, Dan! For the ones that I'm just using colored polymers and metals for this is perfect! The second link warns against using it on painted surfaces- so it isn't a one product-fits-all, but it does look very good for some apps. Off topic resin question

Hi folks. This is a bit of an odd or off topic question. I need a casting resin for the top layer of coasters. The resin that I have been using for several years is EasyCast Clear Casting Epoxy. It is a 1 to 1 mix, crystal clear and only once have I messed it up. The only difficulty is the coasters ...

Is this a sprayed on film or like a protective sheet? If it is a sheet, what temp. are you working in? Some adhesives remove a bit to lots better
if you warm up the backside a bit...even with hand warmth.

You could try the 800, then the 1,000, then the 1,200, then the 2,000. All very gently , rinse really well and change 90 degrees between the different grits. The 90 degree change lets you see when the scratches left by the prior grit are gone. Let dry after the last rinse. Buff with a soft cloth, bl...
