A nice glossy Future surface should be okay, with no setting solution. Then after putting the decal on, use a light coat of decal solution, or plain white vinigar, to set it.. though a couple more coats of Future would do as well. With future, you really don't need decal soutions, unless they're old...

I've done it. Beware of dust though.. that can make it worse.

The actual data on a CD is on the back side, under the lable. The shiny side is just a clear coating. I've also seen a CD sanded smooth and re-polished.

Future cleans up with amonia (windex) and if you used a decal-set for the decals or let water pool on the future, it might have acted like a solvent. If it stays discolored, the only answer is an amonia stripping and re-coat. When you airbrush Future, it makes a very thin coat (thin enough to rub of...

While I prefer Aves, there is an advantage to squadron putty. It's quick and cenvenient. Just squeeze a little on your finger and spread it on.

Besides super-gluing tabs into slots, a couple options are to drill holes in the wings and through the body and put a coat hanger through it. Another option is to saw the bottom of the body open, to glue or pin some bracing across the bottom of the wings, then glue the body back together.

With the grass turf, I've had good luck, with watered-down white glue and a drop fo dish soap, from a spray bottle. There's another grass affect that you may not have considered. For fantasy minitures, small-grit sand looks cool as grass. White-glued down, painted green, with a darker wash and light...

If you haven't installed them yet, paint them with liquid mask, then install them. Personally, I plan to fill around them with super-glue, polish, then mask with punched tape.

My workbench has a shelf, in front of a window and I noticed that my Zap-a-gap started solidifying in a month... I heard that sunlight would do that, so I moved it down, to a shaded spot and the same bottle has been squishy for about a year.

That resin is wonderfull stuff.. you can make it paper thin.. but you'll know when you have gone to far. Generally, it's fairly strong down to an eighth of an inch thick.

The only real way to know, is to try it and develope a feel for it, yourself.
