Eliminating voids without a pressure pot?

I am working on a 1/72nd scale XB-70 and need to make a replacement engine bulkhead. I have made a mold from a part Kylwell lent me and the mold turned out pretty good. I have brushed resin into the mold with varying results. I don't have access to a pressure pot. Not that it would do me much good s...

Well, you can soak it in lacquer thinner overnight and hit it with a file card. That should do the trick.

I use bottle caps. People look at me strange as I gently pry open my beer and put the cap in my pocket. I also use a drafting pen as an applicator. There are some good ideas here, though.

I've thinned the colors and placed them in some ComArt bottles I got at WF. It works really well. The only problem I encountered, and it really is more of a PITA thing, is when I need to run some thinner through the brush to unclog the tip. Using the ComArt bottles, I have someplace to put the thinn...

Thanks for the info. BTW, how long do you guys store you thinned paint before throwing it out? Vern Until it dries out. Oh, in case we didn't mention, don't pour thinned paint back into the original jar with the unthinned stuff. The thinner breaks down the binders or whatever they're called, leadin...

I haven't had that problem thinning Tamiya or Gunze paints with IPA, I thin in the bottle all the time. gravity feed AB work flow

I got an Iwata Revolution last year at WF. I am trying to finish up an F-105G with a 4-color camo scheme. I am currently thinning paint in the color cup. For those of you who use a gravity feed airbrush, what is your work flow for painting?

I used the 350 for nearly 20 years with no complaints. I recently upgraded to an Iwata, but the 350 is still near by. The only real issue is the smallest diameter it can do is 3/16", but it can be overcome with planning and patience.

I need to replace a part on a TOS Enterprise I built ten years ago. I had painted the nacelle end caps Polly S Metaline Stainless Steel. Unfortunately, thanks to the state of California, this paint is no longer made. Does anyone know of a good match?

PNT decals and Micro Sol/Set

Hi, all

I got some very nice PNT decals from my Secret Santa and was wondering it I can use Micro Sol and Micro Set on them. I have done a forum search and found the consensus is to coat the decals with Micro Liquid Decal Film. Any pointers?

Thanks!
