Its an AB epoxy putty. I think it is tamiya, but I can't translate. It is very, very popular with Japanese modelers. I assume that is due to ready availability? I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Tamiya Design knife blades and craft knives are Olfa products, at least those available in Japan.
