Thanks for the help. Had no idea about the issue with the mold release; thought the prob was oils from the hands and general dirt - idiotically failed to check this out properly ... And the mold release does what? Make the paint fall off? Or worse?? Will my kit perish from some terrible disease? Wil...

Er... I've done all the sanding and filing but have yet to do the cleaning and soaking, thinking that was the correct sequence. Does this matter? It's a Salzo V3. Will the simple dish detergent soak do it for this kit? Help much appreciated!

If I ever have time to build my V3 SS X-Wing, I too plan to mount it on a panavise stand. But could someone explain a little more about how one goes about embedding the female connector (if I can find one) inside the model using the epoxy putty? Are there any builders of the kit who've done this who...
